Reaching for the Light - Blue Horse Gallery's Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibit

Reaching for the Light - Blue Horse Gallery

My piece is on display and for sale (email for pricing) at the Blue Horse Gallery, Bellingham, WA.

The Blue Horse is known as a destination gallery representing Northwest artists since 1980 under the ownership of Wade Marlow. The gallery specializes in sales of original art, art restoration , art appraisals. Travel adventures for artists and art lovers to various locations in Europe, Egypt, and Mexico are offered throughout the year.

This is the Blue Horse Gallery’s 11th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibit. It’s titled Reaching for the Light: Oct 17-31 Come by and pay Wade Marlow, Linda or dedicated Stella a visit. They will be happy to help you.  There is a direct link to Blue Horse Gallery in my Links section.   Each member that is on display has had either cancer themselves (survivor), a family member, a friend or somehow its affected their life. Each peice in the Exhibit has an Artist’s testimonial about the way cancer has weaved its way into and through our lives and the lives of others.  WARNING: you may cry before the end of the Exhibit… bring tissues…

I can affirm you will see some Spectacular pieces, such as Bill’s AMAZON… it’s a very elegant AMAZON warrior sporting a self-mastectomy and drawing her bow. Bill’s Amazon could be Okyale. She was an Amazon archer who fought in the Attic war and She engaged Astyochos in single combat. She is also listed as one of the Bravest Women Warriors.

First of all, Thank all of you whom have been gracious enough to spend time at my Blog. This blog is part of my daily therapy to recover some lost cognitive abilities. Currently, I’m only able to paint, watercolor, oils, and mixed media and sculpt from stone or rock. The doctors stated that since I still get processes’ orders fouled up that I shouldn’t be using my plasma metal cutter; since it involves electrodes ~115volts of electricity, a grounding cable….etc… it’s hard when you are used to doing anything and being a leader to being a subordinate that is told what to do.  But here is my Brass Spawning Salmon I created and signed back in June or July of 2007.
